Block Buster
A downloadable game
A quick thinking, block-placing, puzzle frenzy!
Block Buster is a fast-paced block-placing puzzle game that will test your reflexes and strategic thinking. Get ready to dive into a frantic grid-based challenge where every second counts!
Race against the clock as you place blocks on a 5 by 5 grid, attempting to clear lines and score big. Can you keep up the pace and make every block count?
Choose from five exciting game modes:
Classic
Clear lines and aim for the highest score you can before running out of lives.
Escalation
For every 100 points you score you'll have to pick a new modifier. The difficulty intensifies as you progress, challenging your ability to think and react quickly.
Time Attack
You have a limit of 10 seconds to score as much as you can. Clearing lines adds precious time to the clock, while any damage taken deducts 2 seconds. Find the right balance between swift decision-making and accurate placement to achieve the highest possible score.
Countdown
Score as much as possible in 2 minutes. Instead of health, mistakes deduct valuable seconds from the clock.
Zen
A relaxed mode with no timer. Great for getting to know the game stress free.

First off, I'd like to say that this is definitely my favorite game on my Playdate. I purchased it on catalog and play it daily. (Great for bathroom breaks at work.)
I have a couple questions:
Is there a possibility to add a "return to title page" selection from the menu button? If not no biggie it just feels like it would be nice to have.
Also, is there anywhere where I can find what specific completions/combos get me what score? I am getting better at understanding patterns on clearing bigger lines but was wondering if that info was available somewhere? Furthermore does each mode give the same scores for clears?
Thank you for making this wonderful game and your time.
Thankyou so much, that means a lot to me! Glad you are enjoying the game!
Definitely, i'll add it to my list of things to add. Feel free to request anything else, I can't guarantee it will get added, but I'd love to hear any suggestions.
Scoring is the same across every mode and is calculated like so:
Thank you for getting back so quickly, I look forward to seeing what else you come up with for this fun lil device!
